Litebook 2011 Issue 3 - ONLINE NOW!!!

July 8th, 2011

lb2011q3coverweb.jpgIn this bumper edition of Litebook we feature the talented Nicola Selby, a real life DSLR Dancing Queen who hasn’t exactly been tip-toeing through life so far. Our Canadian distributor, Henry’s, gets involved in this issue of Litebook through a Bowens inspired development programme; winners and runner-up images inside. Our ‘Behind the Scenes’ story this issue features Gary Ombler who secured a commission to photograph some of the world’s most beautiful and dangerous animals. We’re also featuring the Bowens enabled University of West England in Bristol, and four of their most talented students. And we’ve changed the name of our tutorial section from ‘Hough To’ to ‘Lite Bites’, this is to accomodate our new friend (and lighting expert), Ohio based Kevin Focht. We hope you enjoy our new issue, happy reading.

litebook-2011-issue-2-cover1.jpg

You can pick up your free copy from a Bowens dealer today or simply click on the links in this email to read the interactive online version - now iPad compatible too! In this issue we travel down-under to talk to one of Australia’s most thought-provoking and out-there photographers, Peter Coulson, about the meaning of life and the message behind his images. Our other ProFile photographers like to keep it in the family, we chat to Leo Holden and Meriet Duncan, an aunty and nephew duo who go by the name of Snooty Fox. We also go ‘Behind the Scenes’ with David Cantwell, an award-winning commercial photographer based in Dublin to talk about the day he photographed individual portraits of three of the worlds most influential and iconic VIP’s. And, due to the phenomenal success of our seminar sessions at the Focus-On-Imaging show earlier this year at the NEC we’re including a round-up of photographs taken by the various leading photographers that hosted some the many demos throughout each day. And of course, you can check out another great lighting tutorial from our resident lighting expert Christian Hough.
